MRW’s New Business Team is equipped to handle your most difficult cases with two case managers, a dedicated internal underwriter and our long-term carrier relationships.

COMPLETING THE APPLICATION

Applications can be overwhelming. Our Case Management Team is here to help guide you through the applications and make sure you are getting all the forms you need to submit your application. We have compiled a checklist of best practices when submitting business. By following this guideline, you can circumvent many processing issues.

Do you need some help getting started? INFORMAL INQUIRIES

For cases that we know have medical impairments, we can process as an Informal Inquiry. We will need an authorization form sign by your client along with a list of all doctors and medications. We will order all the client’s medical records and then have our underwriter summarize the file and send to our carriers for a tentative medical offer. This process normally takes about 4-5 business days once all medical records have been received. You will receive an email listing all tentative offers along with suggestions of which carrier might best fit your client’s needs.

Issued Other Than Applied For

Got a case that didn’t go the way you were expecting? If submitted with the illustration you quoted and a field underwriting questionnaire, your case is eligible to be shopped to other insurance carriers if the case was rated or declined. Our team will assess the reason for the rating or decline and work with you to address the underwriting issues and determine potential alternative carriers with whom you may want to resubmit the case.
